Math & Physics

Mathematics is unusual because the current literature still refers to materials that are much older than is common in other fields. As a result, you will find that many of the reference sources (encyclopedias, handbooks, and so forth) listed below, published twenty, thirty, or even forty years ago, will still be useful sources for your studies.

Physics (especially theoretical physics) is deeply mathematical - the two are so closely connected that most abstracting and indexing services include both in their products. Because of this connection, both math and physics resources are included in this guide.
